There’s a lot happening in this cozy art gallery. Perhaps the most colorful additions of all are the glass and metal vases, glowing with lovely yellows, blues, and reds.

There are at least 60 different artists showcased throughout the gallery at any given time. The gallery is open every day except Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Turchin Center

The Turchin Center for Visual Arts is easily one of the most inventive artistic attractions on the list. It confidently displays work from esteemed professionals alongside current students from Appalachian State University. There are also recreations and prints of some of the most notable works in the museum. Overall, you can find fascinating pieces from close to 300 different artisans.

Alta Vista Gallery

The Alta Vista Gallery promotes itself as an experience, and this is exactly what you get. You can get a lost roaming the halls of this eccentric gallery.

It is tucked away about 10 minutes from Boone, NC. The Alta Vista Gallery is actually an historic landmark, and you can see that in the dazzling and classic mountainside architecture.

While the gallery focuses on paintings, you can find numerous wood designs stained glass, and pottery.

Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery

The curators of the Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery try to focus exclusively on an enthralling side of art rarely seen.

The gallery has work from regional artists in a variety of specialties. Sales of many of the local items help benefit the Crossnore School and Children’s Home. Curators have collaborated with the home to help transition young individuals out of the foster care system and into independent living.
